PERU ROYAL TOURS PROGRAM

1st day: Lima.
Upon your arrival reception at the airport and transfer to the selected Hotel.
Overnight at the selected hotel.

2nd day: Lima
CITY TOUR & GOLD MUSEUM:

You will be driven to the "Plaza Mayor", the newly refurbished main square, where you will appreciate majestic colonial architecture. Flanking the square are the Government Palace where Francisco Pizarro took up residence in 1538; the Cathedral which houses Pizarro's remains and where you will visit the on site museum; the Archbishop's Palace with its beautiful balconies; and the Town Hall. Later, you will be driven to the residential district of Monterrico to visit Lima's Gold Museum, one of Peru's largest private collections. Situated in the grounds of the family residence of the late Peruvian diplomat Miguel Mujica Gallo, who spent a lifetime amassing this collection, the museum displays countless superb examples of pre-Hispanic gold, silver and copper articles. Included are magnificent necklaces, bracelets, rings, masks, vases, erotic pottery, tools, statuettes, and many others. There is also a fine collection of textiles and a remarkable collection of antique weapons and uniforms from all over the world.

3rd day: Lima/Puno
Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
Flight from Lima to Juliaca by Lan Peru.
SILLUSTANI TOMBS
Transfer from the ariport to Puno city. On the way, visit around 45 minutes the famous Chullpas Sillustani, 12 m/40ft high stone cylinder burial chambers, used by the Aymaras to bury their important leaders.

4th day: Puno/Titicaca Lake/Puno
UROS & AMANTANI ISLANDS (TITICACA LAKE)

After breakfast, you will take a two-hour motor boat excursion on the waters of Titicaca Lake to the unique floating Islands of the Uros. These ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the "Water Tribe", have built their own "islands" by periodically adding new layers of a type of reed unique to the area called "totora". Their homes and boats are also made from this material. After having experienced some of the ancient traditions of the local people, you continue your motor boat trip to Amantani island. After welcome you will take lunch with locals. Later you will start a hike to visit Pachatata and Pachamama ceremonial centers. At appropiate time transfer back to Puno.

5th day: Puno/Cusco

At the appointed time, transportation to the train station.
TRAIN RIDE FROM PUNO TO CUSCO:
This spectacular rail journey begins in the ancient Puno, in the shores of Titicaca lake and travels to the historic Cusco. On the journey the train makes a gentle climb to higher and cooler altitudes. The first half of the journey is dominated by the magnificent Andean mountains which tower over the deep valleys of the meandering Huatanay River. It then reaches the gentler, rolling Andean plains where vicuñas and alpacas could be seen. Traveling aboard the Andean Explorer, the glass-walled observation wagon, provides the perfect opportunity to view the beautiful scenery. There is a scenic stopover at La Raya, which is also the highest point of the route.

6th day: Cusco

CITY TOUR & NEIGHBORING RUINS
City tour for 3 hours through the beautiful Cusco city and its nearby ruins. The tour will show you the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces. You will visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars and paintings. Then you will be driven to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, to the underground cave and temple of Kenko and to Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Finally you will visit the Misminay Exhibit, Misminay is a native community of Cusco, there you will be able to appreciate their beautiful handcrafts.
Chaska Show:
Chaska, a dynamic, breathtaking and colorful presentation, will shuw you the history behind the Peruvian man of the Andes, giving an unforgetable and unique experience that one can only have in Peru.
Chaska is a young woman that has to save her town. She starts her journey to the Apu, god of the mountain, to offer the gifts it needs to help her town.

7th day: Sacred Valley
PISAC MARKET & OLLANTAYTAMBO RUINS:
Full day Sacred Valley tour visiting Pisac Market, where you will have the opportunity to shop handicrafts in its lively and colorful Indian market. The tour continues towards the impressive Pisac ruins and ends visiting the Inca Fortress of Ollantaytambo. the Incas built the latter as a fort that included a temple, agricultural terraces, and an urban area. There are two distinct sectors: Araqama Ayllu, the religious and worship zone, and Qosqo Ayllu, the residential area. Ollantaytambo was an important administrative center with probable military functions if one considers the walls and towers. There are also traces of ancient roads and aqueducts. The town of Ollantaytambo is called a Living-Inca-Town since the inhabitants maintain very old practices and customs.

8th day: Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu
Transfer to the train station.
MACHU PICCHU VISIT
Arrival by Vistadome class train to Machu Picchu ruins. From Aguas Calientes station you will be transported by bus to the top of the mountain and to citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture. The city of Machu Picchu is the department of Cusco’s most important tourist attraction and one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. Discovered in 1911 by the American explorer, Hiram Bingham, this city is considered to be one of the most extraordinary examples of scenic architecture in the world, built at the top of a granite mountain. The Incas, using ingenious engineering techniques, were able to transport heavy stone blocks up the mountain side, and once there, they used their excellent masonry skills to produce amazingly polished stones that fit together perfectly. After a three hours guided visit in the ruins, you will have lunch at a restaurant of the area.

9th day: Machu Picchu/Cusco
SECOND DAY IN MACHU PICCHU
Entrance fee to visit Machu Picchu ruins or to climb the Huayna Picchu peak, the great mountain behind the citadel. The guide is not included.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
At the appointed time, you will return to the station to take your train ride to Ollantaytambo station at the Sacred Valley.
Transfer from Ollanta Station in the Sacred Valley to Cusco Hotel.

10th day: Cusco / Dinner & Folkloric Show

Day at leisure.balance of the day free in Cusco City for persona activities during the day.

11th day: Cusco/Puerto Maldonado
Private transportation to the airport to take the flight to the City of Puerto Maldonado.
LODGE - DISCOVERING THE JUNGLE:
Transportation from the airport to the river port. Travel on outboard motorboat down the Madre de Dios River to the Lodge. Welcome and lunch at the lodge. Afternoon walk through the trails inside the Inkaterra Ecological Reserve. Later, you will sail the Madre de Dios River by night. Return to the lodge for dinner. In the evening you will nocturnal speeches about the Amazon Nature.

12th day: Puerto Maldonado
ROLIN ISLAND COMMUNITY:

Tropical breakfast buffet. Visit the Rolin Island Community. Return to the lodge for lunch. By the afternoon, visit the Canopy Interpretation Center and walk through treetops and wetlands. Dinner at the lodge. Later, evening Nature Presentations on Amazonian topics.
Overnight at the Lodge.

13th day: Puerto Maldonado
TREK THROUGH THE JUNGLE:

Tropical breakfast buffet. Walk through the Tambopata National Reserve. Dinner at the lodge. Later evening Nature Presentations about Amazonian topics.

14th day: Puerto Maldonado/Lima
LAST DAY IN THE JUNGLE:

Tropical breakfast buffet. Return to Puerto Maldonado, on the way visit to the Butterfly Farm at Puerto Maldonado. Transportation to the airport.
Airline ticket to Lima.
Upon your arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to the selected hotel.
Overnight at the selected hotel.

Transportation to the airport for your international departure flight.
