Climbing Chopicalqui
General description
Chopicalqui, 6354 meters high, resembling a mushroom, is very much appreciated by mountaineers. As it is a peak of moderate difficulty, it requires previous acclimatisation like a hike or like climbing an easy mountain. The total program of climbing takes five days. It has a maximum inclination between 50 and 60 degrees. This mountain offers a panoramic view of the most important snowcapped mountains in the Cordillera. It is situated behind Huascaran (highest mountain in Peru).
